Born and raised in Lexington, South Carolina, Adam is a positive force in the band. He joined Palmetto in 2012 as a bass and tenor player after marching with the Cayce Police Color Guard.

Adam has studied under Russell Davis, John Guerry, Meghan Jones and Hannah Boyles, and has also performed in several events around the south. Adam now helps instruct new band members in tenor drumming.

Glen Adams - Pipe Major.

Born and raised in the UK, he learned to play the tenor at age 14 with the Oatlands park Pipe Band, then later on the snare drum. He has played in several countries in Europe and has performed on the London Palladium Stage, as well as at several Royal Ceremonies. 
After moving to America, Russell joined PP&D in 2003, he picked up the bass drum and studied under Bob Meade, Sally Warburgton, Tyler Fry, Jon Quigg, and John Guerry and has Won several Bass Solo Competition in the South. He has led the drum section to multiple wins and also the Gr4 EUSPBA Champions in 2008. Russell actively teaches Scottish drumming to all new members of the band and to anyone that wants to learn.

Christian Markle - Pipe  Sergeant.

Born in Namibia, he moved to the US when he was 3 and started taking tenor lessons from Russell Davis at age 10, he quickly discovered the snare a couple of years later and studied under Jon Guerry and Jon Quigg as well as other big name instructors from the NAAPD school run by Sandy Jones. Chris has helped lead the band to several victories in competition including Gr4 EUSPBA Champions in 2008

Palmetto Pipes and Drums

Born and raised in Hartsville, South Carolina, started playing the bagpipes at the age of 14.  He began playing with Palmetto Pipes and Drums at 15 with enthusiasm. 

Over the years has studied under Billy DuBose, Bill Caudill, Ed Neigh, and many others at the North American Academy for Piping and Drumming, a pipe camp that he attended for many summers.  He has won numerous prizes in grade IV and III solo piping competition and has also performed in over one hundred events around the Carolinas.
